Charlottenborg 1836 no. 92. Lauritz Lyngbye began his career as a porcelain painter at the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain factory 1824-1829. Among other things he decorated a service for Frederik VI with views from Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein. Hereafter in 1829 he went for private lessons in C. W. Eckersberg's studio and Eckersberg's influence is evident in this painting.
